FAQs

What is an Energy Broker?

An electricity broker is a person who assists consumers & businesses in the sale of energy from various retail electricity providers with the intent of negotiating all terms of an energy contract, including the rate.

Why should you use an Energy Broker?

A broker can evaluate your business functions to maximize saving and minimize cost thorough examination of your historical usage data. This, in conjunctions with several other factors such as the natural gas market, will allow the broker to negotiate with several providers to compete for your business, and in return provide you with the best possible rate.

Why should I choose Clear Channel Energy Consultants?

Our brokers represent you, the customer, not the retail electric providers. We negotiate the rate/kwh you receive, as well as the terms of your contract with multiple electricity providers. We take the hassle away from you and bring to you what best suits your business needs. First to start you will be getting the expertise from our experienced brokers that work this industry on a daily basis. A low rate is not always a good deal of your terms in the agreement will cost you more money than save you money.

Does using an Energy Broker cost me anything?

No. The energy broker is paid a commission by the various energy companies depending on the amount of usage your contract includes. Since the commission is based on your usage and not the company for which you contract with, the broker is able to negotiate a fair deal for you no matter which company you decide to go with.

Can’t I just go to the energy company myself and get the same deals?

Energy companies will not negotiate with consumers in the same manner they negotiate with energy brokers simply because it costs them more to do so.  When consumers negotiate with sales representatives, the company must pay that rep a salary for their time, whereas the broker is paid a commission from the company at a lower cost.

If I change electricity providers, will my electricity be delivered to me in the same way?

Yes. The only change will be the electricity provider, the company from which you buy the electricity. The local utility company that delivers the electricity through the power lines and meters will remain the same for your area, no matter which electricity provider you choose.
